About
Independent AI creative direction for brands and agencies.
What follows is in four parts: who I am, how I work, what I actually do, and how to start.
Identity
A one-person, AI-native creative practice.
JoyousPixel AI Lab is my independent practice. I work from Toulouse, France, and I think and deliver in both Chinese and English.
I do not treat AI as a way to produce pictures. I treat it as a design medium: something that can create products, worlds and people that do not exist yet, and then hold them together across a whole body of images.
When my likeness appears in future interactive work, it will use my own authorised photographs and will be identified as Joyce’s AI digital avatar.
Method
Define the thing first, then let it enter the world.
On a product-led project I do not begin and end with a prompt or one attractive frame. I design the object—its form, construction, materials, details and selected parameters—then turn that definition into a reference I can keep checking against.
From there I art-direct the full image family: clean product views, close details, casting and styling, indoor and outdoor situations, human interaction, composition, weather and light. Selection, correction and sequencing keep the same product believable in every frame.
Motion gives that definition time. Code gives it behaviour: I use it to prototype interactions and build real websites, so the visual world becomes something a visitor can enter rather than only observe.

Working together
Start with a clear project brief.
You can arrive with an existing product, an early concept, or only a brief. I start by working out whether the idea needs images, motion, a working website—or a connected combination—and then begin from the product definition.
